Consulting Times
Surgeries operate at various times between 8.30am and 7.00pm Monday to Friday, although from time to time the surgery will be closed on Wednesday afternoons for staff training.
NB: The building will usually be closed between 1.00 and 2.00pm daily.
Out Of Hours Emergencies
Daytime out-of-hours calls are dealt with on a rota basis, together with Portland Medical Centre and Dr Charles Murray, a GP from West Croydon.
During the night, at weekends and on public holidays, a deputising service is provided by Croydon Doctors On Call. You will be asked for details of the problem and will either be given advice, be seen at the Croydoc base, which is at Mayday Hospital, or at home. This service is for genuine emergencies only and a detailed list of patients requesting advice and treatment is forwarded to the practice each day. NB: all telephone conversations at Croydoc are recorded for legal purposes. If you should call the surgery number out of hours your call will be transferred directly to the 'out-of-hours' service, or you can contact them directly on 020 8401 3637.
Absolute Emergency And Major Injury
In case of absolute emergency/major injuries go straight to your nearest Accident and Emergency department. If an ambulance is needed dial 999.
Nearest Casualty Department: 24 hours a day at Mayday Hospital, London Road, Thornton Heath. Telephone 020 8401 3000.
You can attend a casualty department within 24 hours of an accident or injury without informing your doctor and without needing a referral letter from your GP.
